THINGS TO CONCIDER:
Professionalism
Although working abroad can be a lot of fun, teachers need to keep in mind that they will still need to prepare and carry out their classes in a professional manner. Work can sometimes be difficult or require some time, but usually the more teachers put into their work, the more rewarding their experience will be.
Flexibility
Living in a different culture can also be challenging where certain forms of behavior and school operations are very different to those in the West. Teachers will therefore need to be flexible and exercise a certain degree of patience to embrace these cultural differences, which will in turn make their life in China much more enjoyable.
Creativity and energy
It is said that body language accounts for 55% of communication. It is even more important when teaching children in a language that is not their native tongue. Creative use of your voice and body language will drastically increase your chances of success. A sense of humor is also important.
